We are seeking a casual Radiographer who is looking to take the next step in their career by working in our state of the art Cath Lab. Working alongside a team of highly skilled cardiologists and vascular surgeons; you will gain highly sought after skills and experience. While previous experience in a Cath Lab is not essential, you must possess a genuine passion to want to work in this specialty area.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have the flexibility to be rostered across a variety of shifts including on-call work as required. While this role is casual, the opportunity for permanent hours will be considered as the demands for the Cath Lab increase.

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Current Queensland Radiation Use Licence for Medical Radiation Practitioners
  3. Proven ability to perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations using specialised equipment, including fluoroscopy
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide clinical services of a complex and varied nature as well as the application of high level clinical expertise
  5. Previous cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional radiography experience within a Cardiac Investigations Unit (Cath Lab) (desirable but not essential)
  6. Advanced ability to effectively communicate, share information & work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team
  7. High attention to detail to ensure documentation is current, accurate, timely and maintains confidentiality

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements

It is a mandatory condition of employment for this role that you are vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis. Staff employed prior to 1 July 2017 are not subject to this condition of employment unless they apply for a role with VPD requirements.
